The worldwide web or web is an internet-based information system. It is the next available multimedia information entire computers around the world. The web is the most popular internet services that can access and distribute a huge volume of data around the world. Web was developed in Switzerland in the year 1989 at the CERN laboratory. Web is used in marketing, banking, business system, etc. Nowadays, we can not imagine our life without web applications. It can help organizations gain competitive and market intelligence or simply stay up-to-date with developments in their industry. <\/span><\/p>\n

The web could be divided into three layers \u2013 surface web, deep web, and dark web.<\/span><\/p>\n

Surface Web<\/h3>\n

The Surface web is the part of the World Wide Web that all the general public could avail easily and searchable with standard web search engines. This is the internet we all know and love. This is the opposite of the deep web. It was first invented in 1990 by Tim Berner-Lee and you will be most familiar with it. It can be discovered through your internet browser using any of the main search engines(Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.). This is also the area of the web that is under constant surveillance by governments across the world. Relatively it is small in size, only 5 percent surface web is available on the entire web. It is also known as \u201cVisible Web\u201d because that is being indexed by search engines.<\/p>\n

Deep Web<\/h3>\n

The deep web is also part of the web whose contents are hidden behind HTTP forms and includes many common uses such as webmail, facebook, online banking and services, such as video on demand, and many more that users must pay for. The content of the deep web is not indexed by standard web search engines. Content of the deep web can be located and accessed by a direct URL or IP address and many require a password or other security access. All our important information like financial records, educational records, medical records, social media files are stored in the deep web for security purposes. Relatively it is bigger in size, approx 95 percent deep web is available on the entire web. Without proper credentials, we can\u2019t access the deep web content.<\/p>\n

Dark Web<\/h3>\n

The dark web is the part of the deep web that you can only access through so-called \u201coverlay networks\u201d.The dark web refers to encrypted online content that is not indexed by standard web search engines. The dark web is a component of the deep web that content does not appear through regular internet browsing activities. Its domain name ends with \u2018onion\u2019.Specific browsers like Tor are required to access dark web sites. The dark web attracts criminal actors like drug-dealers, hackers, child pornography peddlers, fake currency, illegal animal parts smuggling, etc. In this web, hides the user\u2019s location and IP address so that it cannot be tracked. Dark web developed by US Military Research to allow spies and intelligence agencies to anonymously send or receive messages. But nowadays it is more widely used in illegal activities.<\/p>\n

You stay away from the dark web because using it can put you in danger.
